This novelty radish is a true heirloom
Black radishes? It’s not as strange as it sounds. They were a regular part of our diet back in the 16th century. Plus, the contrast between the black outer skin and the crisp, white flesh is very striking and the flavour is excellent. Use it raw or slice it into stews and soups as much as you would do with turnips. Your heirloom veggie garden is going to produce some surprises, and this should be one of them!
