Vicryl is a synthetic, absorbable suture used to close soft tissues. It's made by Ethicon, a Johnson and Johnson subsidiary.
Uses general soft tissue approximation, ligation, ophthalmic surgery, peripheral nerve anastomosis, and microsurgery for vessels less than 2 mm diameter.
