The TT520II model can be either a master flash or a slave flash. The manual flash is suitable for operation in S1 and S2 modes. These modes are needed to synchronize with other flashes (slave mode). With S1, the flash is powered by the head flash, with S2, the flash is triggered by the second shutter. The M mode is used when the flash is the main light source, it can be on a hot shoe or on a stand.
